As Hurricane Ian was developing, and the tracking models showing a good probability of landfall in Florida, I dug into Pastor Prince’s three-sermon series Truths from Psalm 91—God’s Promise of Protection Revealed.
Listening to that series allowed my heart and soul to find comforting hope and faith in the unfailing truth and lovingkindness of my heavenly Father. He did not spare His beloved Son but gave Him up. How will He not freely give us all things?
Along with that series, I replayed Pastor Prince’s sermon Have a Throne Attitude—Rest Until God Makes Your Enemies Your Footstool and partook of the holy Communion.
I was living in a mobile home, so I was concerned. I prayed and claimed the protection of Psalm 91 not just for my home but also for my immediate community, city, and my entire state of Florida.
The wind and rain kicked in about midday on September 28. Two days later, I drove home. Amazingly, there was no flooding on the roads or interstate highway on my eighty-plus-mile ride home.
When I arrived at my neighborhood, which had sustained hurricane force winds, I found it totally intact! My home was also unscathed with no damage of any sort. Even a couple of lightweight items hanging on the wall were still there! Glory to Jesus for His grace, love, and protection!
