Three years ago, I decided to rededicate my life to Christ. I was feeling so exhausted, and I just laid everything at His feet.
Then one day, when I took my son to dinner at our favorite restaurant, we met an older lady who began talking to us and asking me questions about my life. I answered her questions honestly. One of the things she said was to stick close to God, and that He was going to take me on a different path.
Shortly after this, I began listening to Pastor Prince’s messages on YouTube. It’s like something lit a fire in me. Everything God was placing in my heart began to be confirmed as I listened, and I started to see Him transform my life.
The next year, the Lord laid on my heart to move. I was excited about this and began to share it with my family and friends. Many of them did not support the idea and were concerned because I would be living far from family, and it was during the pandemic. I kept telling them I felt God was leading me to go and that He would make a way.
Then, I came across the sermon Give Me This Mountain, which I listened to daily. I wrote down “land of milk and honey” and would refer to it every day. During this season, we found out that my sister would need a kidney transplant. I was identified as a match for her transplant. I thought, “God, You told me to move, but this would take me farther away from her.” I began to doubt but then it was like I felt Jesus’ hand on my shoulder, and He was saying, “Go.”
So I kept applying for jobs. I would do interviews only to be met with disappointments. However, I kept reminding myself about God’s faithfulness and promises. I had told Him that I wanted to know that He alone was responsible for blessing me with a job, and He did just that. He blessed me with a position that not only paid more than all the previous jobs I’d interviewed for, but the job also allowed me to work with fellow believers of Christ.
However, the Lord wasn’t done yet. He fixed everything about my sister’s transplant! Everything worked out smoothly. I was off of work when I needed to be there for my sister, and my recovery was so quick that my doctors were amazed. Because Jesus died on the cross,
that kidney transplant was a success, and my sister’s doctors referred to it as a “racehorse.” That kidney had no choice but to work because of what Christ has done.
Then God reminded me that it had been a dream of mine to help someone in this area since I was young. I had even signed up to be an organ donor years ago. Isn’t it amazing how God doesn’t give up on the things that are important to us?
The verse that led me during that season was 2 Chronicles 20:17—“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for my life because “there is much more land to be possessed.” Pastor Prince, thank you for the messages on God’s grace. It is truly impacting many lives.
