Praise Report: Found Identity in Christ

I had always wondered what freedom looked like, so I tried searching for it in many places but could never find it.

At the age of twelve, my season of self-doubt, insecurity, depression, and self-harm began. It escalated as the years went on as I did not know how to manage my emotions. I was sad all the time.

Everything I did or said was never enough. I didn’t want to live anymore as my life was constantly filled with comparison and inadequacy. Somehow, I kept going, and one day, a school friend invited me to New Creation Church’s youth service. We barely spoke in school and didn’t really know each other, but I went.

Later a family member also invited me to the English service. That morning, as Pastor Prince was speaking, I knew I had found my freedom.

I continued attending church and one day, I heard a worship song that went, “Christ is enough.” That day, I finally received Christ. I found a God who saves, a God who is grace, and a God who is love.

I am so grateful for the encounter I had with that friend, that family member, and the song. Now I have a passion for worship. I am so thankful to be saved and to be fed by Pastor Prince’s ministry!
