See The Supply And Give Thanks!

And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.

John 6:11

When Jesus was given just five loaves and two fish to feed more than 5,000 people, He didn’t see the impossible demand placed on Him. He didn’t say, “Are you kidding Me? What do you expect Me to do with so little?”

No, He looked up and saw His Father’s infinite supply of grace. He was most grateful, not one bit despising. He smiled and GAVE THANKS for the little that was in His hands. And the Father made sure that the little multiplied and multiplied to feed the hungry multitudes till they were stuffed!

My friend, has an impossible demand been placed on you today? Perhaps your boss expects you to bring in hefty profits when you’re a rookie with only a few clients. Maybe your child wants you to spend more time with him when you’ve hardly got free time for yourself because you’re holding down two jobs!

It’s natural to focus on the little time, experience or resources that you have and throw your hands up in despair. But let me encourage you today to look to the Lord. See His infinite supply of grace streaming toward you—every megabit paid for by His blood. It’s when you choose to see His boundless supply that you’ll be able to THANK HIM for the little that you have, because you know that He’s going to multiply it many times over!

With God’s favor, those few clients will sign big deals with you. They’ll recommend you to their friends because they favor and trust you! The short moments that you spend with your child will be quality time spent together that imprints precious memories in his mind for years to come!

Beloved, a little goes farther than you can ever imagine when you see God’s abundant supply of grace and have a heart full of
thanksgiving!

I love the word abundant for it links to what Jesus Himself said. He said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
These important words are recorded in John 10:10. The Lord Jesus is the life as recorded in John 14:6 and as we trust and obey Him He blesses us with the attributes that He has. As He is God and God is love we become more loving as He graciously blesses us.
