In September 2014, two months after I had a myomectomy done, I experienced irregularities in my menstrual cycle. Prior to the surgery, my period would normally last for four days. However, in September 2014, I experienced spotting for three days followed by a heavy flow that did not stop for two weeks. I sought medical help and was prescribed medication. I was relieved that the bleeding stopped after two weeks of medication.
However, my joy was short-lived as the bleeding occurred again in October. By this time, I was very concerned. I realized the medication prescribed was not a permanent solution and I was not willing to go back to the doctors. So I turned to the Lord for help.
I’ve heard Pastor Joseph Prince’s teachings on the power of the Lord’s Supper. I’ve also heard testimonies of healing and deliverance that many people have experienced through the Holy Communion. So I decided to partake of the Holy Communion on a daily basis, declaring each time, “I am healed and made whole by Jesus’ stripes. My uterus, menstrual cycle, and reproductive system are whole.
In November, the situation was pretty much the same. I took the medication as prescribed and continued taking the Holy Communion daily. By December, I noticed the symptoms associated with the condition had subsided. I reduced the intake of the medication by half and continued to take the Holy Communion daily.
When my period came in January 2015, the flow was normal from the onset. I felt such inexplicable peace in my heart. Even though it was only the first day of my period, I was convinced that my healing had come and I did not feel the need to take the medication anymore. Indeed, to God be the glory, my period came and ended normally without any medication.
My period has been regular since then and I thank God for His restoration. Thank you, Pastor Prince, for preaching the gospel of grace and for pointing me to Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
