I am 29 years old and have been struggling with pornography and masturbation since I was about 13. As someone who is trained in martial arts, I can safely say that I possess great self-discipline. Yet, I still could not free myself from the addictions.
Not too long ago, I began to hear your sermons on grace and began to apply them in my life. I began to confess that I am righteous before God because of Jesus’ finished work.
At first, my indulgences seemed to increase and I wondered if I would ever be free. But I decided to continue confessing that I am righteous because of what Jesus has done for me.
Within a few weeks, these habits began to cease on their own! I began to effortlessly see victory in these areas, and I no longer concentrated on “not sinning” but on Jesus’ finished work!
What willpower, self-discipline, techniques and methods could not do, God’s grace did! I am free and am a living testimony that the GRACE OF GOD IS THE KEY TO OVERCOMING SIN! Praise Jesus!

How awesome!this reminds me of David’s story,defeating the seemingly ‘impossible’ with such ease.Indeed what appears to us as technically adequate to tackle situations is rags before our infallible father’s will.
When our eyes opens to the bad only then we judge how bad we have been and condemn ourselves but is that what we want to experience in our lives? How about opening our eyes to find out how good we have been after being lead by the Spirit of God? Seeing the good takes away condemnation and growing in the good takes away all bad in us. What do you prefer?
