Praise Report: Found Peace and Comfort in God’s Love after Painful Breakup

I went through depression after my boyfriend of nine years broke up with me. I thought my whole world had shattered and I didn’t know how to move forward. But I kept hearing the Word of God through Pastor Prince’s podcasts. Every day, I would put on my earphones and listen to his sermons on my way to work. I felt as though the Lord was speaking to me and I could sense His loving peace and comfort embracing me.

I also partook of the Holy Communion every day and would declare, “Lord Jesus, I thank You that You died on the cross for my sins. You took every fear, shame, and pain. And by the stripes You bore, my heart is healed. I am accepted and loved.”

Besides Pastor Prince’s ministry, the Lord also led me to other grace ministries and they helped me find freedom from depression. The song Stronger by New Creation Church (Singapore) also helped me to make it through the storm.

Three days before I celebrated my twenty-eighth birthday, I felt so blessed to have had a deeper revelation of God’s goodness. I believe God has turned my pain into a testimony of His goodness to bless others.

Thank you, Pastor Prince! May the Lord bless your ministry. Shalom.

Pastor Prince thank you for the way you present Jesus in your sermons. Carol Ruth, my sister with Downs Syndrome who is mentally around 8 yrs, could understand that Jesus loves her.

Our mom had recently passed, due to Altzheimers, and the person, my boyfriend of 20 some yrs had recently bowed out of the picture too. (Not so bright of me; but I was convinced, at the time, the relationship was better than I deserved. What an awful thing to believe such a lie about yourself.) Anyway our dad had predeceased our mom so I wouldn’t be too surprised if Carol were able to relay to me that she felt her world was a little unsteady.

Focusing her upon Jesus was the best thing I could figure to do for her. And your sermons are entertaining, and after watching you she was enthusiastic about the Lord and His love for her.

We survived on your sermons about Jesus. They were our food. We would, and still do, listen to you almost every morning starting at 5 am. We would take notes together.

I have purchased some CDs and DVDs, which Carol Ruth listens to while I’m at work.

Also, I would down load your sermons and listen to them on my phone on the way from work. They have an amazing calming effect when your stuck in traffic on the interstate. I would just get so interested in what you, Pastor Prince, would be saying the traffic didn’t bother me. (Wish I could still do this. U-tubes 5 minute sermon cuts do not help in keeping your eyes on the road.)

Please keep lifting up Jesus the way you do. Including the Hebrew of it all because it shows just how well thought out and meticulously our salvation was planned. So important in convincing someone they’re loved.
