Praise Report: Pastor Seeing Bondages Broken In Church After Embracing Grace

I am a pastor with one of the churches here in Nigeria. Since my salvation, I’ve always subconsciously rebelled against legalistic teachings. There was always a lingering feeling in my spirit that God is not the stern and intolerable dictator that some people make Him out to be because I’ve experienced the love and mercy of God even in the times when I’ve failed woefully.

These teachings brought such condemnation that at times, I got overwhelmed by guilt and broke down, crying endlessly for forgiveness. I read the New Testament with the lens of the Old Testament and all I could see was the harshness of God.

One day, while on the Internet, I typed into the search bar the words, “unconditional blessings”, and stumbled onto some of your teachings. I hungrily devoured the words and began to search for your books.

The grace of God on your life has been a tremendous blessing and influence on me. I now enjoy deep intimacy with the Lord, carry this inescapable inner and outer peace, and my preaching has been transforming lives as I am inspired by the precious Holy Spirit to speak about the grace of God through Christ.

In my congregation, we have seen drug addiction and sexual immorality destroyed effortlessly within the church choir by the pure Word of grace. I am hated by many other pastors because of this message, which I fondly call, GRACE—THE SCANDALOUS GOSPEL.

No matter what they say, they cannot deny the evidence of the grace of God. Your ministry has changed my life, brought back love and peace to my household and given my oldest son, Joshua, a reason to love the Lord deeper.

Thank you so much for stepping out in faith to obey this leading of our dear Lord Jesus. If I am not privileged to see you face to face on this earth, I now have the confidence that one day in heaven and in the presence of Jesus, I will be able to look into your eyes and appreciate you. I love you, Wendy, Jessica and New Creation Church. May grace remain with you.
