Praise Report: No More Addiction To Drugs And Alcohol, Life Completely Turned Around

In March 2010, I missed a step at home and fell down the stairs.

The accident shattered the bones in my left foot, ankle, and knee so badly that I wound up with rods surgically implanted in my leg, screws drilled into my kneecap and foot, and steel claws and plates hammered into what used to be my ankle.

I spent hundreds of hours in rehabilitation, was bedridden for months, had to take different pain-killing drugs, and was out of work for a year.

I started drinking, and under the influence of alcohol, I grew completely self-centered and was in self-denial. Life became all about me. Shortly after this, my wife and I divorced.

Completely alone and on crutches, I began drinking more and more, while painkillers left me in a state of stupor.

I blamed the world for everything. I even stopped answering phone calls from friends who wanted to wish me a speedy recovery.

Eventually, I returned to work and kept myself busy. I pretended to be happy.

But whenever I got off from work and rehabilitation, I couldn’t wait to get drunk at home and experience temporary escape from my situation. Little did I know that things in my life were about to change for the better. God had plans for me that I didn’t know about.

There came two major changes—each according to God’s plan and timing.

I was flipping television channels in 2011 when I came across Pastor Prince’s preaching on Trinity Broadcasting Network. His sermon was completely centered on Jesus and His grace.

I listened to what he had to say and was awestruck. After that, I started recording all his broadcasts!

Pastor Prince’s messages helped me learn more about Jesus.

I felt I was on my way to a new and wonderful life! I kept listening and listening to his teachings, and without even knowing, repented of my old thoughts and ways. I felt my heart and soul open to my beloved Savior.

I knew then I was loved by Jesus who had always been with me, patiently waiting for me to receive Him into my life.

I realized that there was so much more to life than what I was experiencing. Soon, I gave myself to Christ by praying the salvation prayer along with Pastor Prince who led the prayer on television.

I learned that I was a child of God and that the way out of my struggles was through Jesus’ work at the cross, not my efforts.

It was also during this time that my surgeon said he was taking me off all medication and painkillers!

Although I was at the start of my relationship with God, I knew something wonderful had happened to me and that there was no turning back. The more I listened to Pastor Prince’s messages, the more I changed for the better and the more alive I felt.

Finally, I understood one important thing—my healing and turnaround had nothing to do with what I’d done but what Jesus had done for me at the cross.

It was the Lord’s love for me that had guided me and protected me (many times from myself) during that difficult season of my life.

Since then, I’ve read many books and listened to sermons by Pastor Prince, following his teaching with different Bibles as I study the Scriptures.

Today, I still watch Pastor Prince’s television broadcasts and listen to him online. They help me understand more about the gospel and spend time with my Savior Jesus.

The next life-changing event happened when I made contact with my high school sweetheart. We rekindled our feelings and were married a few months later.

I was also set free from my addiction to alcohol within our first year of marriage! I am now FREE from both drugs and alcohol that were once ruining me. Hallelujah!

Thank you, Joseph Prince, for helping me turn my life around through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All praise to God!
