Praise Report: Healed Of Cough After Proclamation

Back in September 2014, I developed a dry cough. Over the course of a week, it became worse. I went to the doctor and she gave me antibiotics and cough syrup. But after finishing my medication, I was still coughing. So I called the doctor again to get another prescription for more cough syrup. Though she wrote the prescription, she told me that if I still did not stop coughing after this second bottle, I would have to come back for further tests. My cough did not improve.

I live outside of Dallas, Texas, and my cough happened during the time we were dealing with a man who died of Ebola. The authorities had also been fumigating my area to prevent the West Nile virus from spreading. So naturally, all these began to make me think the worst about my ongoing cough as I had been coughing for almost three weeks!

On October 10, I read a devotional from Pastor Prince titled, Pronounce Yourself Clean. It was based on this verse in Matthew 8:3—“Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

At the end of the devotional, Pastor Prince said, “Beloved, God has cleansed you, so pronounce yourself clean! Right now, put your hand on your heart and pronounce good things over yourself. Say, ‘I pronounce myself clean, righteous, healed, whole and abundantly supplied by the blood of Jesus!’ By Your word as a king-priest, every assault against me shall be settled!” So I put my hand over my heart and proclaimed that I was clean, righteous, healed, whole, and abundantly supplied. I did not cough for the rest of the day and the rest of the weekend.

However, I was still a little skeptical, so I continued taking the cough syrup, just to supplement the proclamation. But every time I coughed, I made the proclamation, and the coughing would stop. Eventually, I stopped taking the cough syrup and kept making the proclamation and I have not coughed since. A while after that, I also had my routine medical examination. While I was not sure how the tests would turn out, I kept making the proclamation and believing that I was already healed. The tests results all came back completely normal.

Now, every time I stand in fear of a disease, I make the proclamation and believe that Jesus already took care of every disease and sickness at Calvary.
