Praise Report: God Answers Prayer And Provides A Job Before Graduation

I graduated in June with an undergraduate degree in BS Respiratory Care. Ever since I was a junior, I had been praying for a position of a summa cum laude (“with highest honor”). It was a tough program. I prayed about it almost every day and also studied hard. I would wake up in the morning and tell myself, “Good morning, summa cum laude.”

There were times when I felt burned out and was even on the brink of giving up, but thanks to Pastor Prince’s messages and also the Daily Devotions, I was reminded of the grace of God.

In February, I became frustrated while finding a job to help my parents out. I applied and handed in my résumé to different places such as childcare centers, retail stores and cafeterias. When I didn’t hear anything from them, I gave up and took my cares to God.

Eventually, I met my professors who asked me and my classmate if we could volunteer and help our director with filing and auditing. And we did it. The following week, our director told us that we don’t have to volunteer anymore because we are going to get paid!

At this time, I was also doing my clinical in Polysomnography (sleep technology) in one of the hospitals in New York. On the last night of my clinical, one of the technicians suddenly asked me when I would want to apply for a job at the hospital. I said, “I guess after I graduate and take my licensure exam.” He told me that I could actually apply right then.

I was so excited and I handed in my résumé the following day. Three weeks later, I got an interview.

On the third week of April, I received a letter inviting me to go to a Baccalaureate Honors Ceremony to be distinguished as a summa cum laude. I was ecstatic.

Praise God! God provided a job for me a month before I even graduated. And now I am working as a sleep technician.
