How Do You See Yourself?

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…
Proverbs 23:7

The Bible tells us that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. This means that how you see yourself determines your physical health.

So how do you see yourself in the midst of your symptoms, or after hearing your doctor’s negative report?

Beloved, the truth is that through Jesus’ finished work at the cross, you are completely righteous and completely redeemed from every curse of sickness. You are God’s beloved child for whom Jesus did a complete work to save, heal and deliver.

So don’t see yourself as the sick trying to get healed. You are the healedrighteous and beloved child of God facing some symptoms. Be of good cheer! There is no disease or condition that is greater than the perfect, finished work that Jesus has accomplished for you.

Declare what you’ve been made in Christ and see your body manifest this truth!

So there is no reason at all not to be healed or stay whole and complete right now in every area of your life. GOD is able and willing right now dear.

    Greetings, Sharon.
God can teach us when our hearing is good and when our hearing is far less than good. He knows our frame and makes certain we can hear from Him. This happens best when we are earnestly endeavouring to honour His name.

The most important first step is to delight in studying the Bible, for when we do this God will definitely make a way so that we hear from Him.

Does how we see ourself determine our physical health?
It is an extremely vital factor but it’s also important to remember that Our Creator is not only sovereign but also gracious and compassionate.

If for example one or many of our organs are underperforming He can and often does personally take charge, so that we can remain functional. Let’s praise Him for the depth of His wisdom, understanding and gracious, compassionate love is phenomenal.

This teaching is very good but we also need to remember that most people are unsaved!

There are also many other factors that influence the level of our health. It is true that what we think in our heart is vitally important. For example, if we think predominantly negative thoughts this wrong way of thinking will impact negatively on our health.
It’s vital also to know that we need a constant supply of fresh air. We should protect ourself from breathing in all the harmful things that cars expel. Another vital matter is to stay well hydrated. Train yourself to carry a water bottle with you at all times. Also do not skimp on eating raw veggies and make sure that you get regular exercise!
Most importantly make a conscious effort to trust and obey what God teaches in the Bible and endeavour to thank Him for teaching you so patiently. If you do this you will become more aware of what God has done and continues to do for you.

Our bodies are vulnerable to disease but the good news is that God is gracious and delights to help those who desire to honour His name.

Praise Him for Christ’s wonderful love and praise Him for the Savior’s perfect atoning sacrifice.
